About usClassic Concerts Trust supports and promotes concerts and recordings of the highest possible quality over as large a geographical area as is feasible. In order to preserve flexibility and maximize the effectiveness of limited resources, the organisation is kept deliberately small. Since 1986 we have produced concerts, usually in association with local authorities, in numerous towns in south-eastern England, including Aldershot, Blackheath, Bracknell, Camberley, Chatham, Epsom, Horsham, Maidstone, Redhill, Slough and Woking as well as central London venues. The emphasis has always been on orchestral concerts and education projects but past projects have included talks, recitals and chamber music. Since 1996 one of the Trust's key objectives has been to secure a future for music at Watford Colosseum (aka Town Hall), which is possibly the finest hall of its size for musical performance in England. It had been without professional concerts for two seasons when we commenced operation there and, compared with the period before we took over the concert management, average concert attendance increased by nearly 300% with a solid core of subscription sales. The audience profile was developed to include around 10% under the age of nineteen and the trust also established a loyal body of Friends and Patrons. Through setting up Watford Musical Heritage we hope to ensure that the legacy of our work in Watford will be a long-term development in musical activity in the hall. In 2007 the Trust was the principal sponsor of the closing concert of Yuri Simonov's International Conductors' Masterclass in Hungary. The classes took place in Budapest with the final concert given at the Royal Palace of Gödöllő. In 2009 the Trust is collaborated with Radom Chamber Orchestra to provide a course for conductors in Poland, which will continue in 2010 when a further course will start to operate in Estonia in collaboration withteh Pille Lill Music Fund.
